Your week
Put a job in the week
Updated
Scheduling here is not a calendar you have to feed. It is a way of knowing whether the week you have just promised someone is a week you can actually do.
Steps
- Open the job and find the schedule form.
- Pick the date.
- Pick a morning or afternoon if you have told the customer which, or leave it open.
- Put in how long you think it will take.
- Add the work address if it is different from the customer's address.
When a day is too full
Each day has a capacity based on how long you work. As you add jobs, the day fills up. When you put more on a day than fits, it says so.
It does not stop you. Some days genuinely are twelve hours. It tells you what you have committed to so the decision is yours rather than a surprise on the morning.
You can force a job onto a full day, and pin a job to a day so reordering does not move it.
Moving things
Drag to reorder jobs within a day. On a desktop, drag across the week grid to move a job to another day.
Next week
The week view shows what next week already holds, so when someone asks "can you come Tuesday?" you are answering from what is there rather than from memory.
