Photos on a job, including with no signal

Photos of what you found, what you fitted and what was already broken belong on the job, not lost in a camera roll with three thousand other pictures.

Steps

1. Open the job on your phone.
2. Find Photos and add one — camera or camera roll.
3. Carry on. There is no separate save.

When there's no signal

Plant rooms, lofts, basements and half of rural Scotland have no coverage. A photo taken with no signal is held on the phone and uploads on its own when you are back in range. You do not have to remember to go back and do it.

Do not clear the app's data while photos are still queued — that is the one way to lose them.

Photos your customer sent

Photos the customer sends when answering your questions land on the same job, so what they showed you and what you found sit together.

What gets stripped

Location data and camera metadata are removed from photos before they are stored. A photo of a customer's fuse board does not need to carry their address in it.
